| What Is CNC? CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. CNC machines may be used in place of conventional operator controlled machines during a manufacturing process, when they are available. Eg; a drill press. A person can place a
drill in the drill chuck that is secured in the spindle of the drill
press. They then select the desired speed for rotation, and activate the
spindle. Then they manually pull on the lever to drive the drill into
the piece being machined. The depth of the hole and the speed with which
it is produced will vary each time. At Dynamic Welding and Engineering, we use CNC machines for the production of many items which are more accurate than if manufactured manually, and produced more quickly with less waste. This gives our customers better products an great value. |
